Many people have wondered, "What type of high mileage cars can I get that are non-hybrid?"

Well, after a great deal of digging through the 2009 EPA gas mileage ratings spreadsheets (a grueling task, I must say), I have found the cars with the best overall MPG in each vehicle class to present here for you.

I divided the vehicles up by class because most people know that they want a compact car, or an SUV, or a passenger van, and they need to know which in that particular class has better gas mileage.
